I had always wanted to go to Rome and visit the Coliseum. Finally I got my chance and I took it. It seemed like a seen out of a movie when I first layed my eyes on it. There is so much history there. DO NOT wait in the very long line that is wrapped around the coliseum! Go right across the way and up the hill and go in the morning. Go to where you ...

Gotta go back!
By casacs, 07/12/06
On my first trip I saw only the outside of the structure which was magnificent enough. During my next trip I had time to go inside. Perhaps on the third trip I will take the guided tour. Even without a tour you can marvel at the Coliseum. The "largeness" and history fascinate me. There are displays on one of the upper levels along with ...

It's just as amazing as it looks in photos
By Meagan, 07/05/06
The Colosseum is amazing - just keep in mind that there are long lines if you want to go inside, and there's not a whole lot in there to look at.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/27/06
YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY GO, BUT YOU WILL FEEL THE DARKNESS AND THE SENSE OF DREAD AND EVIL. ROME IS WONDERFULLY FULL OF LIFE -- THIS PLACE JUST RADIATES DEATH AND TRAGEDY. HOW AWFUL. TAKE ONE OF THE GUIDED TOURS BY ONE OF THE ART TEACHERS AND THEY WILL EXPLAIN WHY. THE HORROR OF IT ALL IS AMAZING....

Colosseo
By Rosaria, 03/22/06
Built in 80 AD, when the Roman Empire was at its peak, the Colosseum is the World’s first and one of the largest stadiums ever built. The Flavian ...
