  • Take warm clothes with you

    Amazing mosaics, beautiful frescoes upstairs. Cold dark dungeon downstairs. The excursion will take about 15-30 minutes but it is amusing indeed.
    (There are free toilets in the courtyard. In case you need it)

    Fascinating. Mosaics in XII century church are amazing, together with some beautiful art work. This "basilica" is a real find. It's homey and exceedingly interesting. Bill O'Neil

  • Three Churches in One

    San Clemente is a classic Rennaissance chruch built on an achaic late antiquity church, which is built on a Roman Mithraeum. The latter is a must see.
