The front facade is under restoration work now so scarefoldings are the only things you see. Take the elevator up to the roof top for a scenic and interesting stroll. Good for photos. Beautiful shopping arcade at the Vittoria Emanuelle II just next to Duomo. Many nearby shops and cafes. A must visit for Milan.

The duomo was under construction when i went, so the facade was covered but that didnt stop the beauty of this cathedral from showing.
Amazing views of the stain glass when the sun shon through. The trip to the terrace is well worth the money, if u mind alot of stairs, take the lift. The views from the top are definately worth the extra bit.

I was a little disappointed that it was under construction, but it is an important building to see, so youshould still go if you are in Milan. Also, make sure you don't wear anything above the knee or a tank top or they won't let you in (a rule for cathedrals all over Italy).

The Duomo in Milan Italy was absolutely beautiful. Forget about taking the elevator - you should walk up the 250 steps to the roof to get the true effect of this incredible Duomo. This was last catherial I visited during my 10 day tour of Italy, and the this Duomo was by far the most beautiful in my opinion.

This place was huge, crazy detailed architecture and great views of the city. Remember, you can't take your backpacks in the building or on the roof. The inside is amazingly huge with many different religious displays (paintings, statues, vigils, confessionals, prayer benches, etc.)

If you ever doubt the wealth the Catholic Church controls, take a visit to the Milan's Duomo - a massively ornate structure that is still being added to. Make sure you get a glimpse of the detail from the roof top observation area as well as the panoramic views of Milan.

Milan has a wonderful Duomo. It is very ornate and beautiful. You can go up on the roof and see the ornate building and the surrounding area. I don't know the particular style, but it is quite a treasure. Italy has such wonderful churches, this is in the top 5 for me. Enjoy!!!

Duomo is beyond beautiful, and beyond amazing. Almost worth a trip to Milan just to see it.
