Very close to Santa Croce - absolutely delicious gelato in every flavor imaginable - highly recommended! You can order the gelato in a cone or a cup - choose your size at the register, pay, and then hand the receipt to the person behind the gelato counter - then choose one or more flavors - enjoy!

Vivoli has excellent gelato, but it is not the greatest gelateria in Florence. Visit Perche Non! near Piazza della Repubblica, for a much better treat

The best gelato in the world!!! I love the pera caramellata (caramelized pear), and the nocciola (hazelnut) puts it over the top. Find a hotel near the Piazza Santa Croce and walk to it every evening, it'll make you feel less guilty...
