  • Beautiful and magical

Lots of sculptures, some of them slightly surreal and sort of magical and fantastic. Really worth going to see!

  • scary and fantastic

we went three ladies to vist this place and we almost wet our pants. Scary and fun...everytime we went around a corner the adrenalin made our hearts beat. Sorry to the two guys, who scared the hell out of us...and probably vice versa. We screamed, as they came around the corner. We will never forget the place and we have laughed many times thinking of our trip.

  • Disappointing: more Disney than history
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/02/08
What had the potential for a valid look into the labyrinth's origin and true development over the centuries was obscured by the addition of counterfeits of neolithic cave paintings and hokey resin sculptures scattered about without explanation or acknowledgment of their non-antiquity.

  • Worth the trip
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/26/08
It's an easy and fun exploration into history of the castle. Not for those with claustraphobia or trouble with stairs. And Don't bring euros--they take hungarian money ONLY.

  • Thrilling

Running around in the dark with a lantern, not knowing what you were going to see, shocks and surprises at every corner! (The sinking crowned head made me jump out of my skin!)
The Budapest Labyrinth is my most vivid memory of my trip to Hungary in 2005, and certainly the most unusual....I mean, it was such a novel idea to turn it into a tourist attraction, and such an enjoyable experience!

  • What a waste
    By First L, 04/24/06
If you want to see a real cave, take the HEV up to Szepvolgyi. Go to the cave church in Gellert Hill. This place is a waste of your time. It used to be a shelter during WWII, and since then they've made a pseudo-museum out of it. At first it's kind of cute and eerie showing you the history of the magyars, but then it just gets silly showing fossilized tennis shoes and laptops. Really not worth the price of admission.
