Museum is very nice. Make sure it is open, opening hours are hard to predict. According to our information it was supposed to be open till 7pm, but it closed at 3pm.
I'm not a fan of museums—I get bored in them easily—but I loved this one. Many of the pieces of sculpture simply spoke to me. But I recommend going as early as possible after opening, while the crowds are still rather thin. That way you can contemplate the pieces in some degree of peace and quiet, which is what they deserve.
This is the museum to see for anyone interested in the origins of western culture. The building itself is beautiful and it's collection unmatched. I only had an hour and a half time for it, but could have spent most of a day there.
I went ot the museum in 2001 and it was one of the best places I visied while I was Europe. By far, it was the most treasurable and memorable as well as the most authentic and admirable. I would and will go back as soon as possible to see the museum. The walking is rough in the heat, but tolerable considering what you get out of it.
