On both my previous Munich vacations,this was my favorite beer garden. The food is varied and delicious, the beer is outstanding and the staff is friendly and welcoming. This will be my evening distraction on my next visit this summer.

The service was exceptional. I experienced my first authentic German meal here and was not disappointed! Lively atmosphere, but very pleasant. The service was splendid and quite willing to help with my German!

I have eaten there 3 times and found the service average to poor. The food is good, but lacks the distinction of other beer hall food. The Paulaner had better food, better and more friendly service and equally nice ambiance.

Having dinner at Augustinerkeller launched a great visit to Munich. My bad German tipped off the waitress that my wife and I were American. She promptly sat us down with a chap from Ireland. Bratwurst mit kraut and the roast chicken dinner were excellent. Friendly staff and patrons and great beer. Stein sales are the best deal in Munich.

I was in Munich in 2001 and 2004 and the Augustinerkeller is the best place to have a beer and enjoy the ambience of Munich. I love this place. Excellent beer and food and a warm friendly atmosphere. Don't miss this place when in Munich. I buy their beer here in America.
