I liked how the statues looked so real. And I liked this one statue that looked so real I thought the statue was a person in a costume the first time I saw it.

  • Only visited the Gardens
    By A Yahoo! User, 09/25/08
Walked here after spending the morning at the Musee d'Orsay, and paid 1 euro to enter the beautiful gardens. We packed sandwiches and fruit and sat on a bench to eat lunch. Definitely worth the money for a nice spot to have a little picnic!

    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/14/08
Loved every minute I was there. Spectacular art!!! The grounds are also beautiful. Planned to go to the Dali museum instead of the Rodin Museum, but Dali was closed so went here. I'm glad we did, it was great!

  • Best Overall Museum in Paris
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/13/08
It's small, but I enjoyed this museum of all the ones I toured in Paris. Very, very charming interior, and the gardens were wonderful!

The lighting is wonderful; would recommend a mid-afternoon visit.

Get your tickets in advance because there is usually a long line for ticket purchases at the museum.

  • Contiki showed me Musse Rodin
    By Inna, 10/31/07
I traveled with Contiki, a travel company for 18-35 year olds this year to Paris among many other countries and they showed us the Musse Rodin. We had a great tour guide too who gave us the freedom to see what we wanted to see.
    It was awesome!

  • I wish we had more time there
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/07
The sculptures (and a few of his other works) are what you came to see. There is an outstanding sculpture garden, rarely crowded. They have a room full of Camille Claudel's work.
One minus - too many things are behind glass.

  • Real Life in Bronze
    By Gary R, 05/01/07
Rodin's sculpture is like seeing life reduced to its essential beauty. His subjects reflect that which was truly important to him, the expressive faces, the depth of feeling in posture and most importantly, their hands. Look at the detail in The Burghers of Calais or the defiance in some of the pieces in the garden, the intensity of Le Penseur ...

  • Nice sculpture garden
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/06
This is a smaller museum and much of the works are outside in the sculpture garden. The museum is in a former private residence, so there are stairs to climb and some small spaces to navigate. We went on the first Sunday of the month and discovered that admittance at museums is free on the 1st Sunday.

  • The Rodin Gardens
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/06
I have loved the Musee Rodin in all seasons. The story of his life and his sculpture and the site where so much of it is displayed is a peaceful and wonderful interlude in the bustling city.

It is an especially great place to take children if they are with you when you visit Paris. It is mostly outdoors and has a small cafe with good food, beverages and big windows for viewing the gardens.

    A favorite place for me.
