Giverny's main attraction is Claude Monet's house and garden. The flowers and the Japanese paintings were amazing. The gift shop is one of the best kept secrets in France. The Eure region of France also has great chateau's to visit and don't forget to eat seafood in Vernon at the Cote Marine Restaurant. The simple gourmet dishes rival some of Paris' Michelin fork restaurants.

Monet garden and bridge where he often painted
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/10/04
if your passing near it, then yes it is worth a stop, but a special trip from Paris no ( unless you have a great deal of extra time on your hands.) I did like the Monet garden and the little bridge where he often painted. Giverny being Claude Monets home I would call a trip there more of a pildrimage to one of the Worlds great and influential artists. Claude Monet was a major player in the 19th century Impressionist Movement.

Simply Amazing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/04
The gardens are kept to match the paintings of Monet, and the house is simply amazing with many of his actual paintings on display. If you have time, this attraction is a must see. Just check times and dates before going because they are not open all the time.
