If anyone runs a competition for the worst restaurant in the world (weighted by quality vs price), Jules Verne is right at the "top" of the list. Terrible service, outrageous prices, mediocre food, nice view. Alain Ducasse should be ashamed.

Overall the quality of the food and service was good, not great, but the evening for six friends was spoiled by a fire alarm that rang continuously for 45 minutes. We went to Paris last summer to introduce France to our grandaughters.The views were spectacular, dinner divine and our girls loved it. They dressed up and felt very elegant. Expensive but well worth it to celebrate coming of age.

We had a table by the window, facing the Trocadero, on a snowy winter night. The quality of the cuisine was fairly good, but let's face it, people come for the view and not the food.

As the evening progressed, the snow fall got heavier, and slowly it became a blanket of white outside. We weren't able to see anything except the faint lights from the Trocadero coming through the white veil of snow. It was an incredibly romantic sight.

Made reservations for lunch via fax a month in advance. When in paris called the same day of the reservation to confirm. Was told that there was no sign of my reservation and they were fully booked! I asked the girl if they could track a fax, since many faxes create a journal but she told me this was not possible!

This was my 2nd visit & I was looking forward to the same kind of wonderful experience I had in 2/03. The service was lack luster, food was good but presented with no grandure. Took away from the experience. When you are paying a grand for dinner for 4 you should get all the bells & whistles, not just good food. Good food you can find in most Paris eateries.
