Excellent food!!! Just be prepared to wait to get a table. The place was crowed from the time we got to the door till the time my family and I left after eating our dinner. Since it was the first time I had eaten there I let the waiter order for me. I had a spicy beef in a Black Bean Sauce w/ peppers and zucchini. It was Excellent!!!.

Luckly I live around the block from this place, so I can have it delivered. When I do go to eat there or pick it up. Dont take this the wrong way, but 95% of the cliental is of Asian decent, and that must mean something. I love the chicken with blackbean sauce, extra spicy. and the dumplings are outrageous.

I have been looking and looking for a decent chinese restaurant in Nassau. Flushing good. Chinatown good. Nassau bad.

However, found a fantastic jewel in the heart of a industrial area. Great food and prompt for phone orders.

I have to go back for the dim sum.

The Orient is the most popular authentic Chinese restaurant in Nassau / Suffolk county for good reason. It is the best place to have dim sum without going to Queens. It is also great for big family dinners with set courses and big accomodating tables. The price is reasonable and cheap compared to American restuarants. Beats going to "Jani" and "PF Chang's" hands down.
