  • My Secret Place
    By denisp, 12/21/08
Prague is often called the Paris of the South, but it is much more that that. The Charles Bridge is such a magical and mystical place for me. I travel the world for business. I have come back many times since the late 60's.If I had to choose three places to go to relax or spend off time the other two would be Easter Island and Lake Tahoe where ...

  • The Little Secret
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/03/08
I visited Prague in April of 08' and was very impressed by the beauty and mystery. It was cold and a little rainy so you might want to plan more toward the late spring and summer. What I found was amazing to consider that a little more than 17 years ago this town was under communist rule. The Czech's are an industrious people and it shows ...

    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/08
I only went there because of the movie shooting of the film : "blade" when i was eight but i had such a great time taking pictures and buying things that i have never forgotten the bridge! it was amazing and it has a beautiful view! i didn't mind all the artists! i thought it added character to the bridge and an essence that cant be found any where else , but thats coming from a 13 year old.

  • Nice bridge, too many artisans
    By Leon, 02/18/08
This bridge is a lovely peice of architecture and has many interesting statues along the side. The one thing that lets it down is the number of artists, tat sellers and tour operators trying to get you to buy rubbish you don't want or need at massively over inflated prices. That said they weren't too pushy about it so you can choose to ignore them and enjoy your stroll.

  • it was great!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/07
Charles Bridge in Spring is a site worth seeing. It's worth a 30-minute slow walk, taking in the statues, buskers, craft booths and people. This is a lively, eclectic mix and gives you a feel for the energy of Prague. The view from the middle of the bridge of Old Town is spectacular and be sure to bring your camera.

  • Whimsical fun
    By Erika J, 09/17/07
The view from the Charles bridge is breathtaking. The diversity is plentiful. The history is rich. I enjoyed visiting with the local artists, buying hand crafted jewelry, charcoal sketches and glass. One feels safe there, no matter what time of day. Your walk along the bridge is shared by the historic gargoyle heads. Music from the talented violinists fills the air.
