This was an amazing place to visit. I recommend this place to anyone who goes to Vienna. We went on Christmas and it was a magical place to visit. We wish we had taken the tour because we went up where the king would have given his speeches and you could see inside the palace there and it looked amazing. Give yourself sometime if you do decide to ...

I did not have the opportunity to go inside the castle due to some time restrictions. I was able to walk the gardens and walk up to the top of the terraces behind the castle. The views of the city were spectacular. The gardens are truly a work of art in themselves. I could have spent all day just walking around this wonderful property. Next time I will make a point of coming back and actually going inside.

Schonnbrunn in May 2006
By Petra M, 08/05/06
Schonbrunn Palace and its expansive grounds need a lot of time to explore. My first visit on May 23 I spent my time visiting the Zoo, the Palm House and Desert House, the Gloriette pavilion, the Neptune fountain, the Coach House Restaurant (great meals there) and just walking around taking photos. The grounds are beautifully designed and ...

Yay for the Schonbrunn!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/13/06
This was the best vacation spot in all of Austria!
Even in front of the gian ferris wheel, the gradens were simply amazing. I just love the fountains, gardens, and perfectly cut trees. It made you feel like you weren't in the 21st century anymore.
Not to mention the garden maze. My brother and I could not get out, but we did eventually. ...

Wonderful palace
By k9krunchyz, 01/20/06
I think it's an excellent palace! The palace itself is not that huge but the garden behind is very huge and just perfect. Once you enter, you'll be impressed at first sight! I was in Vienna twice, once with my friend and once with my family. I really like that palace. If you visit Vienna, don't miss visiting it ;)

What a place!

The palace is huge!! Take the extended tour, it cost a little more but you are able to see so much more of the palace. Its amazing. If you don't like tours you don't have to take one to enjoy the atmospher. There is a garden maze in the back and a great little zoo, the first in Vienna. The gardens are beautiful and there is an amplitheatre in the back that is used for concerts. It is a must if you are in Vienna!

Never ending Gardens...were great!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 02/14/05
I only was able to visit Schoenbrunner for a few hours, but it was wonderful. We didn't mess around with going on a tour of the inside, as our time was limited, but we did walk the gardens for quite a while! Its a great oppertunity to stretch your legs and see all the many things in the gardens...fountains and giant birdcages...there was no end of things to look at!!!
