The food was really great. We started with the antipasti which was delicious, then we both went for the sea bass fillets on a fennel risotto, again delicious. My husband finished with a plate of very varied cheeses & I had one of the yummiest desserts ever .... Can't remember the name but Polenta "balls" rolled in coconut ...

When it opened several years ago, Pan e Vin was remarkable as a model of a real Italian restaurant, not a foreign idea of one. The pasta was al dente, the flavors were fresh, the ingredients were superb. I have eaten here at least once a year since, generally with very satisfactory results.

I find it hard to believe that there aren't any other reviews of Pan e Vin, because my experience there was excellent. I got rather lucky because I went there with someone who was a regular and a friend of the owner.
