Most folks think that the Augustiner is the place to go, but the beer (wheat beer) here and the ambiance are a thousand times better. In good weather the beer garden is great and when it is rainy (often the case in Salzburg) being inside is good and a lot less noisy than some other places. And there are not too too many tourists.
