Must Stop
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/09
I stop by this restaurant to have lunch everytime I go to Puerto Rico. The food, the atmosphere and the prices are excellent. The octopus salad is a must have. Our lunch is at least 2 hours with wine. I usually have the halibut (rodaballo) with rice and beans.
The best paella I have tasted. Service is friendly and the place is very nice. Clean, good service and prices... Will recomend it to everyone. Also try the tapas and the wine. Great coffe.
I love the service the attention they put on you, the chorizo whith plantain to die for itis small place but whith a lot of charm, i really love everything i rcomended to all my friend .

Not Good Memories
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/08
I used to go there every time I was in San Juan. Place is almost run down, too old, not well taken care of. I understand these buildings are over one houndred years old, I have seen better. This togethe with La Bombonera are the worst. Cleaning is at most, non-existant. They are selling you like a fantasy of what old San Juan is (or was) all about. There are better, believe me, I know.

Love this place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/28/08
It's great to find a comfortable restaurant that specializes in Spanish and especially Puerto Rican cuisine in Old San Juan. This is also a meeting place for "power lunches" for important members of the local citizenry, which makes people watching interesting. The food was excellent and interesting, as was the service - though we did get there for a late lunch.

Best Paella Ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/07
I loved the paella and the stuffed mofongo with shrimp.
They also have very good Sangria and Tapas.
The overall experience was a very good one. Our group ordered a plate of local hor d'ouvres which was excellent. Also the Octopus salad is very good.

I liked the food, the spanish"Paella" is out of this world. Another person in our party had the lamb chops which were grilled and very good. Very nice variety of "Tapas", spanish hor d'ouvres. Overall I would highly recomend it.
