  • Memorable and delicious anniversary
    By muv118, 04/29/08
My husband and I were leaving on a cruise late in the evening of our anniversary. We wanted to dine somewhere special - not on the ship. After some research on the internet, we decided on "Amadeus" in Old San Juan, which was within walking distance from the pier.

When I called to make the reservation, I was asked if this was a ...

I liked that you could eat outside across the street and they would serve you at the outside tables. The food was great, service was great and the ambiance was fantastic.

  • Awesome Food
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/09/07
The food was excellent. My husband and I recently visited San Juan and accidentally stumbled into Amadeus. The appetizers were okay, but the food was out of this world. The skirt steak was juicy and cooked to perfection. The red snapper was very good sauted with peppers. Even the fries were really good. On to dessert, you have to try the ...

  • Seven High-maintenance Women
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/26/07
Eight of us, 7 women and myself, stumbled in here after a walking tour of Old San Juan. The manager found us a fine large table in the back and he started bringing us water immediately. The menu was full of interesting things that managed to seem both local and cosmopolitan at the same time. My party was adventurous and the more adventurous we were ...

  • Would go back!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/01/05
This place is one of better restuarants I ate at while in San Juan. The food was excellent and it was reasonably priced and adequate. I had chicken breast stuffed with spinach, cheese and prociutto with sides of veggies and plantains, all for about $20. The service was really good as well and the waiters were attentive to the customers.

  • Hmmm... enjoyed the scene not so much the food...
    By Kat, 10/26/05
I found the wait staff and the ambiance wonderful. My partner LOVED her meal and mine was so-so. (I had originally ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce but had to settle for the baked halibut in capers). I recommend you try a mojioto made from scratch from the bar. I can honestly say that I have never had such a scenic trip to the restrooms- the area is offset with an outside garden and fountains in an open air peek at the sky.

  • Would return
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/11/05
Good value for the money: pasta, spices, fish were fresh and prepared well. You will not feel rushed. Hint: ask about pictures of dishes in the menu. They may not be listed but available. I did - - excellent choice!
