This was highly recommended by our hotel but honestly it is tired and complacent. Too many staff, couldn't even have a sip of our over-priced wine (severely high margins!)without a new staff member topping it up. So many interruptions it was impossible to feel intimate at all. One staff member was so bored and unprofessional that she yawned ...

Hugely Disappointing!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/08
We had been to this Restaurant some 8 years prior and had a truly wonderful experience and so were really looking forward to going back! What a huge disappointment! Right from the start we felt that we were being rushed to order and felt uncomfortable as there were quite a few people waiting to be seated. We ordered from the Special Thai Style ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/18/08
Great Restaurant!
I have now lived in Thailand for 17 years total and dined at many of the top restaurants around the country. I also have dinned at many Thai restaurants around the world. I visit BRP at least once a month, and regularly with business and family visitors from around the world. I can say I have never been disappointed in any ...

Overrated and overpriced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/08
We went to Baan Rim Pa in June 2008 after reading some positive reviews. Don't believe them. If you have eaten good Thai food before you will find this restaurant is grossly overrated for both food quality and price, the food was especially disappointing.
Our mixed starter plate was obviously prepared some time earlier, not cooked fresh for ...

Great view - food is appalling
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/19/08
Our hotel recommended this to us as a great place for Thai food. It's on a cliff over the sea and the view at sunset is very nice.
The food however is terrible. Coming from the SF Bay area we eat at *a lot* of Asian restaurants and our neigbhorhood Thai restaurants have far better Thai food. I'm sorry - if think this is decent Thai ...

Won't go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/07
I was really looking forward to eating here as we had heard some good reviews. We were however disappointed with the food.
The satay sticks came without any marinade, the sauce was bland, the prawn spring rolls were nothing special. The Green Curry and another chicken dish arrived and were luke warm, as was the accompanying rice.
what a wonderful place! everything was perfect... so diferent of everything i ever visit. this is very far away from my country, otherwise i can go there very often

Very Bad Service(from a very angry customer)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/06
We went here on Sept, 2006 with very high expectations and we were very disappointed. The only good thing about this place is its location and the food. Other than that, every thing was a disaster. We ordered just one meal set (because my friend and I plan to share, and then order a la carte later on). The waitress frowned and said "Just ...

Sorry, not impressed.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/29/06
The BRP restaurant is a disapointment... I would go almost every night during my two week January 06 vacation to have a drink at the bar...that was the only bright spot. I had dinner there only twice. Sitting at the bar, I noticed the piano music was as old as the piano player himself and he kept playing the same tired, old songs every ...
