I didn't have great experiences, it is just ok. I think there a many more other restaurants on the island that deserve more praise, in the same price category. Take it from an expat who lives here.
hi, i would love to be there now at dons, its a great place, great people and the best food on the island i think!! where can a country boy from the usa find butter milk in thailand???? at dons!!that was quite a big deal for me as i stay like 6 months at a time. also the most friendly people and don is a great guy too. had thanksgiving with him ...
It's overpriced. only go if you really just need a little something from home. otherwise, visit the night markets, experience a little more. i have yet to find a spot in thailand that can do foreign food as well as their own...even if it is by a farang. make one trip, and leave it at that.

Amurrcan food in Thailand
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/04
Remarkable Continental dishes as well as American food. Best beef in Thailand, because the owner has a program with govt agencies to age the beef.
