Suda is a brilliant place to eat. Unextravagant, Unpretentious, Formica tables, plastic chairs, this is the place all the ex-pats go to for great, tasty and inexpensive thai food. I would recommend this place to anyone...this is definately not a tourist trap and about as genuine a thai eatery as you can get. Even the toilets are reasonable!. The food is sensational - and lots of it as well.

I have been going to The Suda for the past ten years whenever in Bangkok. The food is great, the two ladies that run the place make it what it is.

Sure it's a cheap restaurant, but the food is so good, they have a huge range of dishes, the staff is extremely friendly and smiling :) and most important (especially for a "open air" restaurant) it's clean!
I would recommend this place to anyone!

Whilst my wife has been working in Bangkok for the last 2.5 years, I have been lucky enough to visit on many occasions, and discovered Suda on my first trip. Went from review on this site, right by mrt/skytrain so handy from other parts of bangkok.

Very cafeteria but open air and popular with locals so thai style but some westerners.

Food awesome, battered shrimps, Tom yam Kung, stir fied vegetables and rice - All fantastic but big portions too much for one.

Throw in 2 big singha's and some real thai ambience for approx. 400 baht.

Excellent, hope to visit again.

The food is excellent and the prices are more then acceptable. It is a basic Thai restaurant with basic hygine levels but if that doesnt bother you then i can highly recommend this restaurant.
