does anybody know?i heard of the hobbit house a while ago... i would like to know if it is true that there is one midget in velcro and you can pick him up and throw him at a padded wall covered in velcro too???????????

Not just a noveltyBeer selection is decent and the prices are reasonable. The place itself is charming and the staff were polite and quick. On the night we attended, they had a great band playing. Everything you want from a bar / pub.OVERALLAtmosphereValue

Blues, Baby!I don't remember the food, but I remember that the beer selection was vast, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I don't know who was playing the first time I went, but they were playing some excellent blues.
The bar upstairs is also good. I think I recall some pool tables, but I'm not sure. It is very smoky, though. I was last there in the summer of 2000.OVERALLAtmosphereValue -
2004 - 2006I used to goto the Hobbit to use the Wireless internet, i met some people who were regulars there but never really saw the place booming, the staff are pleasant as is the owner and very helpfull, when ordering the meals the reply is either no cook or not on menu..OVERALL

ASWOME PLACE AND EVEN COOLER BAR UPSTAIRSWell I lived in Manila for 6 months and LOVED every day I was there. I went to the hobbit house and loved it there. Great food, nice people and good music. I also found a bar right above the Hobbit house that at the time was called the Hobbit house Hideaway, now called Waidoz Bar and Grill. I really would recomend this bar. A curiosity, nothing moreIt was pretty empty when we were there, and somewhat dark, dingy and depressing.
The music wasn't good, and the food was just ok.
To top it off, the Hobbit House t-shirt sellers came to our table and pressured us to buy, and our waiter tried to get us to tip him in cash, claiming he wouldn't get any of the tips if we put it on the bill.
