First time i see the big and tall statue,it is very cool but after i climbed every steps, everything seems so unpreserved about the rubbish people throw in every corner and in the same praying too.
I head up to the caves everytime I go to KL. it's not as granduer as one would expect, but it certainly is a treat.Once you scale the monolith of stairs and catch your breath, take a break. Once you enter the cave itself tie any loose article or camera/bags to your body. Why? Cause those little monkeys that live in the caves are fast and cheeky. ...
Very nice and intersting place must visit. The atmosphere is so serene and climbing the steps to see the diety is a even more wonderful experience.
However, I think the management should think of making some alternative arrangements for senior citizens who are unable to climb the 272 steps so that they can also visit the temple.
it was our first time to go here it was january and we my friend and i london and the philippines was meeting in kuala lumpur and we go to batu caves i reallly wonder that day when most of thepeople hindu and indians parade extensively in the streets and its a mass parade.. then i knew they will go to batu caves to celebrate hindu festivals for 3 ...
We drove there from our hotel yesterday. Although we got lost here & there, taking wrong motorways, back & forwards etc., we finally got there and it was worth it! Culturally very intreresting, nothing like it anywhere else. The natural formation of the caves was awesome. Going up the steps was not all that hard even under the intense heat. ...
Loved everything about it. Batu Caves is a 'Must See' in Malaysia. It is truly exotic and tremendously gorgeous. I have learnt a lot about the Hindu culture when I visited there with my family.
When the caves were more open to the public it was a fascinating place to visit. However for safety reasons entrance is restricted now so the location is a little dissapointing and not nearly as special as it used to be. Still worth a visit thought.
visit the batu caves for the wonderful veg south indian thali served on a banana leaf and it's not expensive either. we were lucky to be seated next to a wedding party and were able to view the traditional wedding attire of the groom and bride.
