I was just there in May for a three week trip and the area for the Playstation is no longer there. Was a very big disapointment.

Great place for family. There were too many people. The Play Station room was sweet. The movies in there are cool. It's a great place to visit anytime. The overall experience was excellent.

The Sony building is a glimpse into tomorrow.
You can view cutting edge products that are not yet available for purchase.
It is a multi-story building in the heart of the Ginza district of Tokyo.
There is no charge to wander around and they even have a duty free zone.
The staff is very friendly and will answer any questions as long as you ...

  • If you are already in Uraku cho
    By mtgipson777, 06/21/07
Sony building is Ok place to visit if you are already in the Urakucho area. It is Sony products show room. Unless you have interest in particular products, you might find is a little boring. However, it is free to go in so, if you want to kill time, or meet up,it is a good place.

  • Worth only a single visit
    By Chris Monfort, 03/29/07
It was free so I can't complain. If you are a techie then it would be something to do early in the day. I would leave the afternoon open for something more exciting. It is one of those "been, there, done that, and moved on" experiences. I would not return for a second visit unless I lived in Tokyo and was interested in purchasing one of Sony's products and wanted to try it before I bought.

If your looking for high quality electronic at resonable prices they I highly suggest visiting the Sony Building. They also carry overseas models on most of there electronics with warranties
