OMG its really pretty and all but then its so crowded id rather watch from my hotel or tv. its so cROWDED but its way better than the ones in bc

If you want to see the best firework display in the whole world come see this. Imagine several fireworks going off constantly for hours. The bad part of this is that even to a commuter on Japanese train during the rush hour this is crowded. It's not literally thousands of people there....it's hundreds of thousands gather for Sumida River fireworks festical every year.

It was so beautiful. Non stop fireworks for over an hour! Each one unique. Can't wait to go again!

Unless you have a friend with access to a riverfront building, it's not worth going to this event. To keep people from drowning the whole riverfront area is closed off leaving very few spots with unobstructed views and almost no spot on the ground with a view of both the upriver and downriver fireworks.
