Getting a little stir crazy in the city so I went for 2 laps around the Palace. Even in the middle of the day the sidewalk was easy to navigate. Note: The 5K course runs inside the Kitanomaru Park.. if you try to go all the way around (including the Nippon Budokan) you loose the moat and have some narrow sidewalks to navigate. I loved the beautiful views! It is a photographers dream! The walk is great and the the paths were clean, free from mudd or trash. It was so peaceful they had rest areas were you could stop and take in the view, the signs and maps were in English so you could see where you were going and read about what you were looking at. It was like taking a nature walk. I would go again anytime.

The cherry blossom trees are HUGE here and are lit up at night; during the day you can take a small rowboat to peruse the beauty.
