  • My went about once a week . . .
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/08
This place was really close to the church that my family attended while we lived in Tokyo, so we would stop by pretty often! They have some of the most beautiful kimonos, ceramics, furniture, and gifts to fit every budget (even kids!) I bought several sets of these really gorgeous metallic/stone swirled glasses (that also doubled as vases) and ...

  • All In One Location
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/18/08
The Oriental Bazaar is the easiest place to find good quality souvenirs of all kinds in one location. I grew up in Japan and my parents always went there to buy their gifts to bring back to the United States. They have reasonably priced small silk screens as well as lavish larger ones. There is all manner of Japanese chinaware, jewelry, shoes, ...

  • They've got everything!
    By Jen, 02/03/08
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Many of them also speak English. I would recommend going here first and last. First, so you can see what they've got before you go buy it somewhere else. Last, so you can get it all before you go.

Four floors of kimono, dishes, chopsticks, dolls, prints, t-shirts, fabric, ties, you name it. ...

  • Great Shopping!
    By jennifer_b_henry, 12/11/07
My husband and I just visited Japan for the first time in September '07. We visited a lot of cities in our few weeks there and found that the Oriental Bazaar had both the best variety in its wares and the best value. The multi-story building contains an amazing assortment of souvenirs including small handicrafts, artwork, ceramics and even ...

  • Don't leave Tokyo without it!
    By mickisan2003, 12/06/07
I never go to Tokyo without making a pilgrimage that ends at Oriental Bazaar! Great merchandise, great selection. For about $10-$25 each I come home with great gifts for everyone...this time of year (end of the year) I especially love their scroll calendars on the 1st floor (street level). You can spend less there, and certainly more, if you are ...

  • Beautiful merchandise
    By Asia, 10/13/07
I bought a kimono there this passed summer -- silk and nicely made, for a decent price. I wish I'd brought another. Has lovely music boxes, mirrors, and many other beautiful things. Highly recommended, wish there was one in America [or at least a website]

  • Brilliant service
    By coolforkatz03, 07/31/07
My family and I had a wonderful trip to Tokyo and visted the Oriental Bazaar twice. They have such a good selection of gifts from ornaments to clothes. I bought a beautiful Japanese T-Set which was packaged perfectly and made it all the way back to the UK safely. For me visit to Tokyo isn`t complete with a visit to this shop.

  • THE place for one stop shopping
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/23/07
I lived in tokyo for 2.5 years, and in all that time I never found a shop that compared. Make it a point to stop there. They can even ship to US addresses without issue if you want o purchase bigger items.
