No, chrome, no problems. Just great service ,great staff and great food!! Previously reviewer please be aware of the fact that you are spreading falsehoods!!
Nauseating prices. Vulgar, alcoholic staff and extremely cliquey patrons. Chrome all over the place. This is the bar of choice for English teachers who really , really fancy themselves, and pissheads who have lived in Tokyo for far too long. Avoid at all costs.

The Chef, a brit, makes such great food, and the owner is such a sweetheart! Personal service, great music, and fab eating that is affordable. Hard to believe it is in Shibu ya! Any Ex-Pat ...

Very fun. Always something different to see/hear. Eveyone is always having a good time at the cow. And the food is tasty too!

great for birthdays & office parties, it's a little bit of everything mixed together in a relaxed, artsy-funky-loungy setting just like a living room. great buffets on Fri/Sat. and yummy weekday ala carte menu.
the cow reminds me of places I loved back in the east village, really cool, funky, down to earth and artistic, with excellent food, especially when you want to let your hair down after work.
