Snow can't get any bigger than here!! Sculptures as big as 20 metres captivate you in day and night alike during the Snow Festival. Its almost like big guards looking over the city for 10 days. Add to this, sculptures made by citizens themselves, which though not so big, are interesting nevertheless. The sheer imagination of people while they ...

Snow Festival
By Jared, 09/26/05
I was in Sapporo during the Snow Festival. It was truely awesome. The people there made some amazing things out of the snow and ice. This took place in Odori Park in early February. I was able to get some amazing pictures and it is something that I will never forget. If you are in Hokkaido during February, I would highly recommend seeing this. It is definetly a must see.

During the summer months, there's the summer festival, as well as Bon Odori with lanterns and ...
