Great view! Fun ride up on the escalators! One of a kind experience. Not for those afraid of heights. My husband couldn't handle going onto the open roof top but if you can it is an amazing view...the enclosed lower floor is neat though too. At least when we went a few areas on the enclosed floor allowed smoking which we found disgusting and taking away from the atmosphere but that was 2 years ago so don't know if that has changed.
The Floating Garden Observatory is a must for any visitors to Osaka, unless you're hypsiphobic. It gives you an unobstructed, 360-degree view of Osaka. Be sure to go there an hour before sunset, so for the price of one admission, you'll get
Went in to this blindfolded. You go from level 3 to level 35 in a clear glass elevator for someone with a fear of heights this was really overwhelming. Made it though. View was absolutely unreal. Didn't make it anyfurther than 35 though (goes to 40). Only 700yen(about $7 AUD). Excellent value for money.
It's great to go in the night but not too late as we rush through the floors. We were there half an hour before the closing time and managed to go to the top but didn't get a chance to visit the garden. My son wanted to collet the 4 stamps but didn't complete it as the counter were closed. The views are great but was very cold ...

The Floating Garden Observatory

It provides a 360 degrees unblocked view of the concentrated buildings around. There's indoor and outdoor level. There's also 4 stamps for children to collect. Recommended for spending the day with that special someone.
This worth the 700 yen it cost to get to the top garden. I would recommend going at night though becasue the views are great. I went in February so it was a little cold especially at night but its a great place to take your special someone on a romantic night out in Osaka. There also a great hotel on the top with views of the city.
Amazing looking building offering excellent views over Osaka.
If your going they're from Umeda underground station make sure to take the underground walk way just outside the station otherwise walking on the street will take what seems like forever.
