They are doing some major renovations here and have completely dismantled the main halls of the complex.

Fortunately the pagoda is still standing, although it's smaller than the one in Kyoto's Toji. Go around to the other side of Saruzawa pond next to the temple. The reflection of the pagoda in the pond is a good postcard photo.
