This is a nice and historical restaurant just north of Shijo. We had our kaiseki meal in a traditional Japanese private room, sitting on top of a heated pad. The 10-course meal used lots of quality ingredients and it was very nice. Service was also excellent.

I went for lunch and it was a wonderful experience, very warm and friendly staff although they didn't speak english very well, but that is to be expected. The food was wonderful in presentation and quality. The owner not only welcomed us into his house and explained the food but also gave us a tour of the historic inn. Very enjoyable!
