I thought the museum was very nice. I was surprised to see such a selection of Western art. The Dali was great, but a Henry Moore sculpture and a Thomas Heart Benton made it worthwwhile. Also the bottom floor had a tremendous exhibit of Japanese clligraphy and photo section. Well worth the trip especially if you walk through the Shukkeien Garden.
i loved the museum space. it is very open inside and the flow through the rooms is good. it was very quiet when i went - prolly more museum staff than patrons - during the afternoon on a weekday. the exhibit i saw was a huge pottery exhibit. it was well curated and the staff was willing to help me (both in japanese and english). the only problem with the musuem is that it closes pretty early during the week.
