Returned last week after two weeks in the land of the gods! It has taken us this long to admit that our Bali experience has ended. We travelled with another couple, my mum and our two kids aged 3 and 5. Mum and I have been to Bali many times but it was ten years since I had been due to marriage and kids etc. What a sensational time we had. Kids ...
Really enjoyed the view and windy feeling. Sunset was also beautiful. Then, the kecak api performance was also good. Nothing unpleasant about the place except have to be careful with the monkeys.
My wife and I were probably just unlucky in our timing (1st week of Nov.) in that we were in Bali for 8 days and never once saw a sunset, including the time that we went to Uluwatu. I have some friends live there, and I love everything there speacial to the people. and very relaxing place.
I had a good time with my friends from Uluwatu. she is a very nice girl and lovely
The Temple itself is to small to make a longlasting impression BUT the surroundings and the vieuws are so spectaculair that i will never forget this sight!!! Kecak dance and sunset were wonderfull !!!Monkeys? Yep, dangerous there!!!
The view is definately breath taking except the MONKEYS of course.... actually i have no bad encounter with them, as i was advised earlier by my tour guide, of not to wear sunglasses, jewellery or other 'attractive' stuff. they just sat there and stare as we passed by because there was nothing to snatch. yes... another thing is do not hold ...

those monkeys...

I went with 3 children and my wife, and came back with 2 children and my wife, they stole all my loot, and my smallest child. beware of the monkeys, carry a weapon at all times.
I like the fact that by going there 1 time I was able to see them all: the Temples, the path on top of the hills (it looks like a miniature of the Great Wall in China), the monkeys, the Kecak Dance and of course the wonderful sunset.
