Member for 4 YearsI lived in Shanghai for 4 years and was a member of Shanghai Links. As far as a golf experience, this course rates in my top 5. Fantastic layout, excellent greens and fairways, and a challenging but fair test of golf. Shanghai LinksThe golf course is fantastic. The greens are always fast and true, the fairways are like greens on most courses. The new clubhouse that just opened in Oct 2008 is terrible. It is designed more like a hotel than a gym. Since it is now owned by the local government bureau, they needed a hotel for their parties. Top of the worldSH Links is one of my top 3 favourites in the world. (besides Royal Troon and Spring City Lake Course). Always in great condition, greens are so fast that I usually put with my shadow only, tee-boxes quicker than a regular european summer green, the wind is coming from everywhere, Jack has designed, caddies knows golf, the staff is great, beer and food awsome, what more do you need???
