I enjoyed every every bit of what i saw, especially the Artificial men posing on the ground floor (basement), But what was rather not well was the route around was narrow and as for Holiday (01st Oct Chinas Independence day) it took us more than four hours to reach to the elevator meandering in the hall way. otherwise i enjoyed my visit to the Oriental tower and even posted a letter home (Uganda - Africa) on the Highest post office in the world.
The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the tallest TV tower in Asia, and the third in the world with a height of 468 meters. It is a symbol of Shanghai due to its unique style and the height. There are 11 spheres in total along the tower top down. Two of them are pretty large and have a lot of facilities for tourists inside. These spheres are why the tower ...
There is an admission cost (sorry, it was included in our Costco Kirkland Signature tour package so I don't know the price), but go ahead and spend the money. The view takes in the whole city --- or at least as one can see in the smog. New architecture in the city redevelopment is quite fascinating.
The Oriental Pearl Tower was truly the landmark of Shanghai towering over the Shanghai skyline. It is better seen from the Bund but it was unfortunate that we went there on May 1 when the Chinese flocked to the area since it was a holiday and we have to move hard for every inch in order to move.
It is an awesome place. If you truly know how the place is, you will understand the meaning of the tower. Try going up to the Space Module. It is a stunning view of all of Shanghai.
I thought that this place was just amazing! I loved it and would no matter what, if I had the chance, would go back in an instant! I would live there!!!! unbeliveable!!!!!
Live very near New York City so i'm jaded or spoiled but the dinning experience in Oriental Pearl at night is quite impressive. The food is probably as good(or as mediocre), as the former Windows on the World,(sad), and the views, with the rotating dinning room are more spectacular. It is an experience, if you visit Shaghai, that one should not ...
This 468 meters high (1,536 feet) tower is the world's third tallest TV and radio tower surpassed in height only by towers in Toronto, Canada and Moscow, Russia. However, even more alluring than its height is the tower's unique architectural design that makes the Oriental Pearl TV Tower one of the most attractive places anywhere.
We'll sure to be back again! Lots of thing's to see & shop for. From old to young should visit.

Cars , Bikes & Motorcyle traffic a bit messy. They seems not use to follow traffic laws. Taxi's & lorries arezipping in & out of traffic. we have a near miss encounter while we were there.
I visited Shanghai Spring 98' and recently Oct 07 & was amazed with the development of skyscrappers! Best view of the skyscrappers is from the Oriental Pearl Tower. I wld recommend going up the tower about 4.30pm/5pm as you'll be able to see the day and night view. Sunsets at 5.30pm during Autumn. The view was awesome. Good experience & have a 360 degree view of Shanghai's city.
