A wonderful place to visit! It's in the centre of Shanghai, and was built 100 years ago. Vivid buddha bust and classic chinese architecture, but a bit crowded.
very enchanting, full of monks, buddhist worshippers, tourists and guides who will sweet talk you into buying expensive souvenir. The main exhibits of this place are two big statues of Buddha, one sitting (u can't take a picture), and the other reclining (u can take pics). We gave money to charity here and liked the place. recommended.

The Jade Buda Temple has the very old architecture you want to see in Shanghai, but don't much. The Buda's are impressive, but I found the buildings, the resident monks, the gift shop, and the tea more interesting. Do not pass up the chance to get educated on the various medicinal teas!
