A great little place, the outside is welcoming and the attentive staff make it a good place to eat. Mistakenly chose a few too many side dishes and missed out on some of the delights waking passed me from the kitchen. Definitely worth a second (and probably several more) visit.

Sour Grapes
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/17/06
Okay place for Foreingners. Have been to the Grape many times over the past three years. I understand, that when the Grape started; it was a good 'foreign student' hang out. ( cheap eats )
I am Chinese and have visited Grape twice. The food was below average on both occasions, when I compare to the myriad Chinese restaurants I have tried and tested in Shanghai. Grape has historically been a favourite with tourists as it has an English menu, but increasingly most other local places worth going to have now got English menus too.

Chinese delight
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/05
I had the best Chinese food EVER at this restaurant. The fried rice and green beans were out of this world. As well as the rest of the food I sampled there. The service was fast and the value was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling in Shanghai.
