I wont rush back...well, maybe for a coffee and the view.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/09
Let's face it - the view form the deck over Pudong and the Bund is superb. The ambience is truly intercontinental and the patrons chick and trendy. I waited in anticipation for the food to match the promising surroundings.
I ordered the "suckling pig" and was not impressed. It was overcooked and the crackling had a strong ...

Will definiately go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/11/09
After a few weeks in a foreign country for the first time and being mistaken as locals (we're asian aussies who can't speak a word of chinese) consistently we found M on the Bund a wonderful reminder of the food and language spoken at home. The restaurant was filled with Westerners, food was absolutely great and the views were spectacular. Would def. reccomend this to fellow aussie travellers.

The service, style and pure grace of this restaurant make it a rare and wonderful experience. The food is superb and the staff faultless. The surroundings are beautiful and the view breathtaking.

McDonalds is better
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/28/08
My visit this year was a disaster. Very crowed, the tables are to close to eachother therefor is no room for the waiters to move. I give back my steak two times because it was absolutly wrong. Perhaps this is just a incident but we have had the expierence. You better can go to Three on the Bund, named Laris. This place is much better then M.
We are spanish, so we were looking for a wonderful dining experience. We had been told this M on the bund is the best restaurant in Shanghai.
The experience was very satisfactory. The views are impressive, and the food is excellent. However I must say that the suckling pig portions very small.
The service was polite, even though the maitre ...

Great ambience, food was inconsistent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/10/08
I went with my fiance to M on the Bund for our anniversary.
In short, the ambience and the service was exceptional (the view is certainly above average) but the food was mixed.
Our entrees of seared scallops and foie gras served three ways were excellent. We had the roasted lamb and crispy skin suckling pig for mains, as they were apparently ...

Our second time.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/17/08
As well traveled Aussies, this was our second visit and we could not but have the crispy skin pork again, however it was not quite as we remembered last time.Never the less an excellent evening and a place we recommend to our friends.
