Anyone going to Cape Town should really make a point of visiting Mama Africa. We visited last Friday - the band - Abakhaya - was fantastic - what a singer! The food was great and the waiter we had was lovely - apart from being an England football supporter!

Great ambience and I would love to go back

Great music and fun atmosphere. Cheap beer and snacks hit the spot after a long day out and about. Everyone dancing and singing, a great place to meet.

I visited Mama Africa last Jan & had an awsome time! The food was fantastic (try the crocodile kabobs!) & the music added to the great SA vibe. I actually bought a CD of the band that was playing that night! The servers were awsome & the location of the restaurant is conveniently next to other bars/pubs & the city. Overall, Mama Africa was a highlight of my great trip to Cape Town.

Thank You for my dining experience. The food at the resauntant was good and i had a nice time eating at this place. I am going to write a review about your place and once again i thank you for being so kind and your respect skills are real high and i thank you so much for a good time at the place i am going to try to come back one day.

On the whole this is an enjoyable restaurant and to be recommended to foreign visitors

Loved this place, the food was gorgeous bur the entertainment was even better. Live African band on Mon, Wed and Fri night-amazing and the men were gorgeous! Can't wait to go back

The food is descent, but very touristy. If you want good South African food there are other places to try. Its the TGIFridays of the USA.
