I went to it as part of activities related to a work-related retreat. I not only found it to be one of the tackiest things I ever attended it also lasted way too long for what it was; the story was also very meandering.
It's definitely only worthwhile for the package tour bus crowd, rather than for more worldly, sophisticated travelers.

I loved it. At the end of a long tiring day traipsing around it took me away from today to the long gone by past. Please make sure to be really warmly clad, thats all.

It was very stirring to see the light show in 1991. The history and the lighting effects are really special. I remember seeing the light show in a James Bond movie and seeing it in person was something I will remeber for a long time.

I loved it. Takes the mind back in time...goose bumps the whole time. March was a good time to visit, not too cold or hot. Something everyone should have chance to see. Spectacular!

We visited Egypt with Thomas Cook in December last year (2006) and one of the excursions from Sharm el Sheikh that was offered was a two day trip to Cairo and the Giza plateau the Sound and Light show. The sound and light show was billed by our rep, and indeed the brochure as an extravaganza filled with interesting facts and narrated by, as we were ...
