King TutWow the egyptian museum is well worth seeing.
I was totally impressed by some of the stuff in there, especially the things on the floor of King Tut's treasures, i can't beleive they got all those things out of his tomb in Luxor, it amazes me to think it al fitted in there.You have found this review helpful.23 of 31 Yahoo! A must see, but bring your own museum mapWhile this museum is somewhat difficult to maneuver due to the less-than-optimal layout, one must tour the King Tut relics on the upper floor, including the funerary mask, the two inner coffins, jewelry, and the canoptic vessels which held his organs. back to the history....I like the fact to be all arround of all that history .... to know what was happen in country from 5000 years and more
the fact to live the history and be involved ... to see all this monuments in one place...
i visited since a was a little girl but still to now ... i like to have the opportunity to visit it again and again

get a mapThe whole museum is set up where you need a tour guide to explain the objects in the museum since ALMOST NOTHING is labeled. Tour guides cost about 50 EP for 1 hour tour. Good stuff!Really enjoyed the museum, but I didn't spend a ton of time there, just an afternoon with a guide who took us thru the museum highlights.
The museum was SO CROWDED! So don't expect a quiet museum experience - people from all over were yelling and moving thru the place.

Amazing place but so disorganisedThe Egyptian museum is one of the most amazing places to ever visit. It is completely packed with so much history that you get the impression that they don't know what to do with everything. Donot miss it!!!IF YOU ARE INTO EGYPTOLOGY LIKE I AM DO NOT GO FOR A QUICK VISIT,IT IS JUST FASCINATING HOW YOU SEE ARTIFACTS FROM ALL DIFFERENT DYNASTIES IN ONE AWESOME PLACE THAT IS THIS MUSEUM, JUST GOT BACK FROM THERE FOR NY SECOND VISIT AND I THINK I WILL NEVER GET TTIRED OF VISITING IT. Great Museum, but little is labeledI was impressed by th level of security at the museum. I work in an industry where security should not be noticed, and that was certainly the case. Knowing what to look for, it was quite amazing. The King Tut museum was breathtaking. Seeing his artificats made the entire trip worth it. don't forget visit it!Back to the history, yes, but to the histery too.
Of course, I liked it, because once there, is like all that I had read and seen in books or documentals were in front of me. Whas a pitty that the Mommies room was closed -nobody said why-.

NOT AGAIN FOR SURE.DISAPPOINTED TO SEE SO MUCH OF HISTORY LYING UNACCOUNTED, UNLABELED & GATHERING DUST. MAJORITY OF THE EXHIBITS HAVE NO LABELS. WHATEVER HAVE THE LABELS, IT IS SO DIFFICULT TO LEAN FORWARD CLOSE TO THE GROUND OR USE A MAGNIFYING GLASS TO READ THEM. AS USUAL TOUTS/GUIDES ARE A NUISANCE LIKE ALL OVER EGYPT. THE MUSEUM HAS NO AIR-CONDITIONING, SO DON'T FORGET TO TAKE WATER WITH YOU TO BEAT THE HEAT.
