The Pyramids are incredible. There is no getting around it. However, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, is always trying to rip you off. (Even the police) Do not 1) Go on a camel or horse ride. The tour is horrible and absurdly expensive. 2) Let anyone take your picture (instead ask another tourist). They will charge you money and beg you for ...

As an independent traveller I had a terrible experience at the pyramids that should serve as a warning to fellow backpackers without dissuading you from going.

The history of the pyramids is amazing. I saw these pyramids in 1991 and was very impressed by their size and the technology that was used to build them so many centuries ago.

This place was just totally awesome. You should really think about visiting it. The pyramid was huge. I looked like a midget when standing near it. I have never felt soo short in my life. It was a great experience and would love to do it again whenever I can.
