    This photo has been misidentified by its author - it is not the sabil-kuttab of Khatkuda, rather it belongs to the 19th century and is the sabil-kuttab of Isma'il Pasha son of Muhammad 'Ali Pasha constructed in 1828.

  • Grandpa Katkhuda

    My own great-great-great grandfather is the founder of the sabeel. I remember my own mother talking about Prince Katkhuda. My husband & I live in the USA and came to Egypt for a visit in 2001. We visited the sabeel and visited Prince Katkuda's grave at Al Azhar Al Shareef. We took pictures and I was touched by his good deeds.
