we can't wait to go, silver coating

Hi all,

I'm going to Cairo over 3 weeks. A friend of mine told me I could get an old bracelet coated with silver at the Kan bazar. Can anyone recommend a name and/or adress? Please do, my wife will beat me up otherwise :-)))

It's really changed

I have visited Khan el Khalili on previous trips to Egypt and it has changed. Now it's full of "commission boys" who snag you off the street and take you to "their uncle's or cousin's shop" for a good deal. Well, guess what? Those good deals include up to 50% commission for the street boy. Guess who pays that commission? YOU do! BEWARE!!! It's not fun any more. Too bad.

I have been to egypt 6 times ,I just love the place,I did go with my friend from amman jordon so he knew how to bargain,love the gold there got many things from there the mother of pearl boxes or a great deal,Ialso love the brass round tables have them now ,they can be great gifts to,thank you so much Thearesa
