I have no problems at all saying the the avila mountain is one of the greatest places on earth... Let my tell you which is the best way to enjoy it: Get to the "Avila Magica Park" walking (it takes about 7 hours) and you will enjoy the best views in the workd. Then (to protect your knees!) take the teleferico, by far one of the best in ...

The teleferico is one of newest and safest cable cars in world, built and operated by an Austrian company. The view during the assent and desent is amazing. Having visited Venezuela at least on 12 different occasions, i would say that an absolute must while in Caracas is to visit El Teleferico. The ride up to El Avila (the +6000ft mountain peak) gives an spectacular view of Caracas, and presents a great afternoon in the mountains which surround the valley of Caracas.
