If you like surfing you definitely want to swing by this place. I wouldn't exaclty say this is a must see in Lima though. But if you are really into the beach you might find yourself feeling at home here.

There are several foreigners living in Cerro Azul for the next +/- 2 years due to a construction project further down the coast. Many different nationalities. It is a lovely quiet town with a beautiful beach - but not suitable for yachting. The locals are very friendly and helpfull and the Canete valley supplies fabulous fruits and vegetables. Lima is only 1 1/2 hrs away for the rest!

One of the most beautiful place near lima,the ocean, the town and the people are really nice.
it is a very historical town that you should visit whenever you get a chance!!

My wife, son and I are planning to move back to Peru. We've been looking in to places like Cerro Azul. I always wanted to surf but i'm not a surfer at all. But i'd love my son to learn surfing. I would buy a nice yatch to fish and relax with the family. Are there any american or foreigner living in this town? would like some recommendations.

Cerro Azul is a beautiful port that this located to the south of Lima exactly to 136 km of the same one. He is so beautiful that for that reason the flame Cerro Azul Port of dream. Visitenlo

Place was awesome - great and fun four to six foot waves to surf, sunny, mild water temperature and uncrowded (it was a weekday). Tranquil town with great and fresh seafood.

Unlikely to find such combination of assets in many beaches in NY, or much of the US for that matter (I have been to Florida and California many times). Definitely coming back!

It was Horrible. It was extremley hot one day and it rained for the rest of the time. It was a very bad trip and i would not recomend it

its simply the best place to surf and have fun in the world. Never seen nothing like this. I'll go back there next year.
Try to go there in January or february.
