The day we went the train employees were on strike. So, only those who hiked were able to visit that day. I recommend that if you are healthy that you hike. The arrival through the sun gate is amazing and you feel like you deserve such spendor after 2 days of hiking!

Macchu Picchu is the best place ever. It is worth your money an it will be the best trip of your life. You have to go!!!!!!!!!!!

Machu Picchu is a wonder in a high altitude place surrounded by climate conditions ranging from tropical to near arctic. Beautiful vista views on the 4 hour train ride from Cusco to the base of the Machu Picchu mountain. The clean, tightly fitted stone work makes one pause with wonder as to how it was done and the very existence of this lost empire makes one wonder what might have been had the Incas ruled through today.

The amazing view is breathtaking. Whether you take the 2 day trip or the 4 day trip you will have a fantastic time because they are both equally incredible. I have been twice and gone on both trips and I want to do it all over again and again.

Breathtaking. The view literally took my breath away the first time I saw Machu Picchu with my own eyes. It's a little expensive, but well worth it to visit these ancient ruins. I had to pinch myself to believe I was there. Make sure you pay attention to your tour guide, because the info and history they have to offer will make you appreciate it all the more.

Peru is an awesome country with lots of culture, history and GREAT FOOD! nice people and so much fun. it was the best time of my life!!! machu picchu is beautiful. I highly recommend it.

This is really an awsome place, however, if you want to see the plenitude of its beauty, you have to hike Putukusi, wich is the mountain across from Machu- Picchu on the East side; it is not an easy hike, but you will be rewarded with a view of the real magnitud of the city.
Spend the night on Aguas Calientes, and hike Putukusi early in the morning , you will also contemplate a sunrise that you will never forget......That's bonus.

Visiting Macchu Picchu is not cheap.
However,so many natural and man-made components converge here to create an extraordinary, awesome, unforgettable experience. Go early in the day, go several times, if your schedule permits.
