Really cheap and totally worth it.... climbing up is scary but really great. And finding random Ecuadorians there to tell you neat stories about the church and its construction is the best.

What an amazing way to be introduced to the city of Quito. It was such a rush to climb up to the tops of both of these towers. Liability, what's that?

Beautiful gothic architecture, amazing detail, and rich history, a must see for church lovers. It is in the historic centre of the city, between many other churches, close to the presidential palace, and many other attractions.

La Basilica is so cool...it's like walking into a different time, and the catacombs are totally crazy. I loved climbing up in the towers and haning on to gargoyles for dear life, ringing the bell...dreaming about secret tunnels to the Panecillo...it was a fantastic experience.
