I went here on a field trip in 1964 and I'm going back this summer. I can't wait! You should visit during the spring, when it's moderately warm and there aren't too many other people.

The scenery in just relaxing. and it is a perfect spot to get away from the kids. And once you step foot on the beach, you never want to leave. The people there really make sure that you enjoy your stay. And trust me you will!

A Must For Any Visitor
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/04
The Casa de la Cultura is an amazing collection of Incan artifacts, pre-Colombian tools and artifacts from local Indian groups, colonial and modern art. If you are going to visit any museum in Ecuador, make it this one. Allow at least three hours to see it all.

Fantastic Archaeology Exhibits
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/04
The museum has nearly all the archeological & native indian displays in English. Which are both the best part of the museum. It is a little small, and you can get throught the whole museum in roughly 2 hours (thourogh visit). The modern art is interesting, but the best colonial displays are in the colonial part of Quito. In the past year and a half the colonial area has improved and is absolutely gorgeous... Make sure to spend a day there!
