I travel to Chile every year and every year i head to "Azul profundo" in the bohemian quarter of Santiago called bellavista. Not anymore! The service was awful. We got there at 7:45pm (in winter there) and the "young inexperienced" waitresses were all putting their makeup on the bar (????) and my husband had to wait for the ...

Good service, bad fish
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/03/09
The fish was overcooked and not fresh. Very pricey considering what we got. Coming from Portland, OR where we get great fresh fish, this was a big disappointment. The best deal was a 2 for 1 wine special. They gave you a free bottle of the same wine you ordered with dinner to take home with you.
Someone here wrote a pretty bad review for Azul Profundo, they must have gone to the wrong restaurant! Yes, it is a bit noisy, that is because it is always packed with people enjoying its great food: fresh, well cooked seafood in an atmospheric setting; try the Pulpo Asado (baked octopus), my mouth is watering as I think of it! An absolute treasure
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/04
There are no big fancy signs and it would be easy to miss this place if you weren't looking carefully, but finding it is definitely worth while. Located on Av. Constitucion, one block off Pio Nono, the main street in Bellavista, the restaurant occupies the bottom two floors of an old colonial house. There is a small bar and then a maze of ...
